Welcome to Rhody Fit! This is a health and fitness blog for everyone from gym rats to weekend warriors to anyone just trying to live a healthier lifestyle and get back into exercising. My name is Dr. Jess, DPT and I am so glad you are here and ready to begin this journey with me. We are hoping to offer information and advice on how to get back into the gym, workout programs you can try to spice up your routines and product recommendations to optimize performance and recovery.

My name is Jess and I am currently a licensed and practicing Doctor of Physical Therapy in Massachusetts. Born and raised in Rhode Island (Go Rhody!) I have been an athlete my whole life. My favorite sport is basketball and as a former high school and collegiate athlete I have had my fair share of injuries. I have rehabbed 3 ACL tears over the course of my athletic career which is how I came to be a PT. Throughout my rehab process I also fell in love with lifting and training in the gym. I worked as a fitness trainer for a few years before going to Grad school and I have a passion for sharing my knowledge and experience to promote active and healthy lifestyles. I have gone from being a huge gym rat to now as a young professional, just trying to find ways to squeeze my workouts in between work and everything else life throws at you. Having gone through every phase of fitness, I am confident I can help you perform at whatever level of fitness it is you are looking to achieve.
Outside of my professional interests, I’m a typical 20-something who loves spending time with friends and family. I love doing anything outdoors and exploring my (what I believe to be) highly underrated state!
